that's soccer.
[A world cup not to be forgotten; full of unexpected turnouts.] Haha. What a world cup. I supported 3 teams. Argentina, Germany and Brazil. And I was super confident that Argentina was gonna ace it this year. Well, partially because they'd get to keep the cup. But. Both Argentina and Brazil are out. Wait. I'm not gonna wail. To be honest, Brazil did not try hard enough. In fact, I was shocked with their performance against Holland. It was so not a match I wanted to see. Holland's main aim was to get Brazil frustrated. Which they succeeded in doing. Brazil may have scored the first goal. But they got all complacent. The rest of the game, well, I don't know what to say. They allowed 2 goals to pass through. And towards the end of the match, they were showing their temper. Which was pointless actually. Match ended in 2-1. Last night, Hussain bro came over to watch the Germany-Argentina match. To be honest, I wanted Argentina to win. So did dad and bros. But to me, it didn't really matter even if Germany won. Cause, after all they're a great team. And I do like them, though not as much as Argentina. But you've got to give it to them, it was a good match, with Germany playing exceptionally awesome-ly. Haha. I enjoyed the match, though Argentina got owned 4-0. Sad, I was. But they did their best. Problem is, there was a hole in their defense. Whereas, Germany's defense was damn strong. If it was Paraguay, Argentina would've been in the semis now. Spain just got lucky. Anyhow, they'd be facing Germany next. Haha, farewell Spain. We'll miss you, yeah? And c'mon Spain supporters, you have really no idea who they're going against right? (: Did you guys watch them play with Paraguay? Aw, C'mon man. You know they don't stand a chance against the Germans. That's for sure. I really have to compliment the German team though, it has much improved from than last year's. Especially Klose, Podolski and Muller. They're great players. Klose, especially, wow. He's dangerous man. And after seeing comments on fb about the ref being bribed and all, I feel I have to say something. Please lah people, you guys really think Fifa will let that slip by? No way man. It's highly unlikely for that to happen, so stop blaming the ref if your team loses. Accept it. Soccer's like that. All's fair. I too, supported Argentina. But fate has it that they lose. So be it. Just accept it if the other team plays well. Anyway, my point is. With Argentina being out in the quater finals, and Brazil too, I'm left with supporting Germany. I hope to see them carry the cup this year :D But then again, there's Holland and Uruguay which should never be underestimated. Spain? Hah. Forget it. Well, whoever wins, it's surely an unexpected WC we're having this year. Well, that's soccer. The ball is round, after all. (; |
